This shot of a Weevil (Curculionoidea family) was taken at Whitemill, near Shapwick in Dorset, that stands alongside the River Stour, and is part of the Kingston Lacy estate. There is a path opposite the mill before you cross the bridge that takes you along side the river and is great place to find all manner of creepy crawlies. To get this level of magnification (4x) I used my Zuiko Olympus OM 38mm F2.8 macro lens with my Velbon Super Mag Slider on a tripod.
