Sunset at Emery Down the ‘Cropped Version’!

This is the same image as previously posted but this time I cropped the image to have less foreground and more sky, 1/3 foreground and 2/3 sky, instead of 50/50. This is the link to my previous picture of the original sunset at emery down.

Make up your own mind which is better. I also wonder if this is really the right thing to do – I have my doubts.

I use the image editor tool for cleaning and sharpening, as you will always get dust and noise when scanning an image to a digital format. I do not like to use anything more than that, as I like to learn from my mistakes to go and shoot better next time, and also pretty much there after every time for that given scenario. If you begin to rely on the editor to correct your image you will never get out of bad habits. I think you will also find that you spend more and more time on your computer than what is really necessary, losing the opportunity to go out and enjoy what nature has to offer, and maybe missing that once in a lifetime image!
