Glyderau Mountain Range, Snowdonia National Park

This set of pictures were also taken whilst visiting the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales, and this time headed out to the Glyderau mountain range. The walk started out from the Ogwen cottage car park by Llyn Ogwen to view Llyn Idwal with the Devil’s Kitchen in the background. This is a nice and easy stroll that doesn’t take too long at all.

The Devil’s kitchen is the rock fall on the left of the shot, and there is a track to walk up through if you are so inclined. I did not go that route.

Instead, double backed along the path and took a path that runs up along side a waterfall to get to LLyn Bochlwyd.

This is with Tryfan in the background, which dominates to the left as you traverse up.

Walking to the left of Llyn Bochlwyd you can then climb further, keeping the Tryfan to the left. On the front & right is Glyder Fach. This next shot was taken on the other side of the wall found at the top of the path. The change in the wind strength was incredible, going from very little to a some force as I popped my head over the wall.

The next set were taken on the walk back down the other side of the Tryfan and then back parallel to the road to the car park. Hopefully these give you some scale as to the height traversed but you can go higher depending on the route you take.
