Normandy Marsh, Lymington

Just before New Year visited Normandy Marsh, Lymington, which is next to the Haven marina. For once the weather was good and in the late afternoon with the sun slowly descending it cast good side lighting as can be in the next few shots.

First a Little Egret (Egretta garzetta).

Then Redshanks, which there were a lot of, walking towards the sun bathing spot

and then more at the sun bathing spot

The light though started to quickly fade as the sun began to drop behind a big bank of clouds so the ISO had to be upped for each of the next shots, the first again being another Redshank (Tringa totanus)!

Finally a Sanderling or Grey Plover (ID pending) wandering along to be joined by a flock of Dunlin’s.
