Wildlife

A Blackbird & A Stonechat

Started off today at Tuckton in the hope of spotting the Fieldfares & Redwings. Unfortunately this was not to be, though did manage to catch this Blackbird (Turdus merula) on the charge.

Walking on discovered that the usual path to Hengistbury Head was closed due to the bridge being damaged by the stormy weather. The alternative routes were not an option unless you had wellies so decided to return to the car and take the short trip over to Stanpit Marsh nature reserve. There was not a great deal of wildlife around here either, the best photo opportunity being catching Stonechats (Saxicola torquata) with the sun back lighting.

These are the best 2.
