Dark-Edged Bee-Flies and a Wolf Spider

Spring sprung with sun! So today I switched to my Olympus 80mm F4 macro lens in the hope of finding bees and larger insects to photo. It did not get off to a good start with the discovering of the field at Whitemill did not have the usual covering of flowers to attract the bees. There was a similar experience at another field close to Badbury Rings, so decided to try High Wood, to find flowers.

In the end no bees but did manage to photo of a couple of Dark-Edged Bee-Flies (Bombylius major) and a Spotted Wolf Spider (Pardosa amentata).
