The Crackpot Challenge walk

We decided, on a decent day, to take up the challange of walking from our self catering cottage to the interestingly titled village of Crackpot and back. Surprisinlgy the hardest challange wasn’t the walking up and down the Dales, it was the spring gated stiles, most were very narrow to get through and the gates had a habit of swinging back very abruptly if you weren’t careful. As the weather was good I decided to take my film camera loaded with Velvia 50 slide film to take pictures of the surrounding Swaledale.

I used the Hitech Coral 2 Filter for this first panorama to give a warm feel to the view looking towards Low Row.

The village did live up to its name in the form of a dog, which made it very clear you didnt want to get too close!

This is the village viewed from the hill above.
