Blashford Beasties

This post is in a similar vein to that of the previous post, a collection of photo’s of insects taken at Blashford Lakes nature reserve. Two differences, the 1st is the subject matter, this time it is a collection of varied types of beetles, and the 2nd is the order starting with those sighted or photographed previously.

and a Click Beetle (Elateridae)

A False Blister Beetle (Family Oedemeridae), first enjoying the pollen then looking over the ramparts before turning into a kung fu fighter!

Now onto those I have not spotted and photographed before.

Face on to a Common Malachite beetle (Malachius bipustulatus).

Lastly a Rhagonycha limbata soldier beetle
