Macro

In your face!

This is the 3rd and the final post in the June series of the Blashford lakes close-up macro photo’s, and this time it’s all about in your face!

This reserve is home to a large population of damelflies, and this year they are primarily Common and Blue-tailed damselflies. Also, although up to now the weather has been unseasonably damp and cold to say the least, the one blessing in disguise is that the damsels are not as active providing excellent opportunities for really up close photo’s.

Each one also seems to have its very own personality.

Finally, unfortunately it is not always a safe place for these characterful predators as it is a bug it bug world out there…
