Olympus OM-D EM-5 HLD6 Battery Grip review

My purchase of the Olympus OM-D EM-5 was under a special offer where it came with the HLD6 OM-D battery grip at no extra cost. All I had to do was go to the Olympus website to claim the grip providing proof of the purchase. The HLD6 battery grip arrived last week and at the weekend I gave it a go. It comes in two parts, a horizontal & a vertical section. I fitted both to the camera.

Overall a very good design and these are my initial observations

Very light weight, did not significantly increase the weight of the Olympus OM-D EM-5.
Great ergonomic design, fitting comfortably in the right hand.
Comes with a battery compartment (please note only if both parts of the grip are attached). This allows you to place 1 battery in the camera, and another in the grip. It should be pointed out that you will have to remove the grip each & every time you wish to access the battery in the camera body itself.
