Filter cast or no filter cast?

I am in the process of scanning my photo’s from this years holiday to Torridon in Scotland, and one of shots in the first batch to be scanned was taken using the B&W 110 Neutral Density filter, my first use of this filter. On top of this filter I also added a 1 stop ND graduation filter. The original scan has a slightly purple hue to the final image, which I like, however I have also created the same image taking out this cast in post image manipulation with Photoshop CS5 using auto colour. I personally like the original but have posted to a couple of photo forums for other people’s opinions.

For those not familiar with the B&W 110 ND, this filter has a 10 stop so manual exposure calculation are necessary. Also, as it lets very little light through you will need to compose the image before screwing the filter on.

Once I have had some feedback I will post up the final decisi

Here’s the original, with a 30 second exposure on Sensia 100 slide film.
