Ardheslaig & Ob Chuaig walks
This set of landscape shots are from a couple of walks last year found on the Applecross Peninsula in the Torridon region. The Ardheslaig walk will take to you Kenmore and back, however the weather turned very wet just after taking this panorama of Ardheslaig, which was only a short climb from the start.

The decision was made to return to the car before getting too drenched and travel on to see what the Ob Chuaig beach was like. The walk to Ob Chuaig beach starts out close to the village Cuaig, and is relatively short. You do have to cross the river to get to the beach itself, and this is achieved by crossing over some stepping stones.
This is Cuaig viewed from the path to Ob Chuaig beach.

To be honest I was not impressed that much by the beach, that may be because the weather wasn’t great or the tide was in.

The one highlight of the walk was spotting this Red-throated diver (Gavia stellata). I only wish I had taken along a longer focal length lens to get a better picture than this one which is heavily cropped.

The last is my favourite, capturing the sunlight breaking briefly through the rain clouds on the way back to Cuaig and the car.
