Beinn Eighe woodland walk

This set of pictures are from the Beinn Eighe woodland walk and part of the mountain trail walk which are accessible from the Coille na Glas-Leitir car park on the shores of Loch Maree. The intention was to hike up the woodland trail and then take the mountain trail to see the Lunar Loch and the Beinn Eighe ridges.

On the way up came the woodland walk to the mountain trail walk we came across this very friendly Juvenile Robin (Erithacus rubecula), who even posed for a close up shot with my landscape lens.

This is the view you get looking across Loch Maree towards Gleann Bianasdail just before turning off onto the mountain trail.

The mountain trail becomes steep, and will quickly take you up and out of the woodland to offer you these views of Gleann Bianasdail.

Unfortunately the weather took a turn for the worse so headed back down.

This shot shows the heavy rain moving towards us.
