Blashford Lake nature reserve visit 13th Oct

Another visit to the local Blashford lakes nature reserve this weekend and spotted a group of Egyptian geese on the spit to the right when looking out of the Tern Hide across Ibsley Water. Managed to get a semi decent picture with the Olympus 1000mm F11 lens

Decided on this walk around the reserve to stop off at the Woodland Hide, which has several feeders situated outside. However, before you get to the woodland hide its worth stopping outside the centre as there are a couple of bird feeders there as well.

A Chaffinch in the trees near the bird feeders.

Finally visited the Ivy south Hide. There were a lot of wildfowl about including this Shelduck (Tadorna tadorna)
