Great Crested Grebes enjoy a good days fishing

Today I managed to photo not just 1 but 2 Great Crested Grebes (Podiceps cristatus) catching fish. The first one behaved quite oddly when it surfaced with a fish, instead of happily eating there and then it decided to charge away at great speed.

Later on, at another location, this pair of Grebes moved towards the bank of the lake.

This spot also proved to be a good place to fish.

This Great Crested Grebe decided to stay around and enjoy the snack.
