Aysgarth falls, Yorkshire Dales

In September I travelled for the 1st time to the Yorkshire Dales, staying a week based near Feetham. The Aysgarth falls are on the River Ure and were located a short car journey away.There are 3 waterfalls, the upper falls, mid falls and lower falls, the Upper falls is where a scene in the Robin Hood Prince of Thieves was filmed. A national park centre sits between the upper falls and the mid/lower falls.

There is easy walking to see the falls, though I found a very narrow and short scramble down to rocks was required to get a really decent view of the Lower Falls.

For me the Upper Falls and Lower Falls offered the best photo opportunities.
